This Cookie Policy explains how ShopTurkiye uses cookies and similar storage technologies. It supplements our Privacy Policy. By continuing to use the Platform you accept our use of essential cookies; non-essential cookies require your consent and can be refused at any time.
2. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored by your browser on your device. They let a website remember information between visits or between pages within a visit. "Similar technologies" includes localStorage, sessionStorage, and pixel tags — we treat them under the same policy.
3. Essential cookies
These are required for the Platform to work and cannot be disabled. Authentication — Supabase session cookies (sb-access-token, sb-refresh-token). Lifetime: until logout or expiry. Locale — next-intl locale cookie remembers whether you are using English or Turkish. Lifetime: 1 year. Security — anti-CSRF tokens issued by Next.js for form submissions. Lifetime: per session.
4. Preference cookies
These remember choices you have made. Currency — your selected display currency (TRY, USD, EUR, GBP, ZAR). Lifetime: 1 year. Wishlist state — held server-side only; no client cookie required for the wishlist itself.
5. Analytics cookies
We are setting up basic, privacy-respecting analytics to understand which pages and features are used. This section will be updated with the specific provider and cookie names once it is in place. Analytics cookies are non-essential and require consent.
6. Third-party cookies
PayPal sets its own cookies during checkout for fraud prevention and session continuity. These are governed by PayPal's own cookie policy, which you can review on paypal.com. We do not embed advertising trackers.
7. Managing cookies
You can refuse or delete cookies through your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies will prevent login and checkout from working. Disabling preference and analytics cookies is safe — the Platform will continue to function but may forget your language and currency choices.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as we add or remove technologies. The "Last updated" date tracks the most recent version.
