Terms of service
The rules that govern your use of ShopTurkiye, both as a buyer and as a seller.

1. Acceptance of these terms
By creating an account, browsing, or making a purchase on ShopTurkiye (the "Platform"), you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to use the Platform. By using ShopTurkiye you confirm you have the legal capacity to enter into binding contracts. Sellers must be Turkish-resident individuals or businesses able to fulfil orders to international destinations from within Turkey.
3. Accounts
You are responsible for the accuracy of information you provide and for keeping your password confidential. You must not share your account, impersonate another person, or create multiple accounts to circumvent platform decisions. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms.
4. Buyer obligations
When you place an order you commit to paying for it through the supported payment methods at checkout. You are responsible for any import duties, taxes, or customs charges that apply on arrival in your country. You must not raise unfounded disputes or chargebacks; we cooperate with payment providers in fraud investigations.
5. Seller obligations
Sellers must list only goods they own or are authorised to sell, describe items accurately, dispatch within the stated handling time, and respond to buyer messages within 2 business days. Sellers are responsible for compliance with Turkish export rules and for any duties or licences required to ship the listed items abroad.
6. Our role as a marketplace
ShopTurkiye is a marketplace that connects buyers and sellers. The contract of sale is between the buyer and the seller. We are not a party to that contract, but we facilitate payments, dispute resolution, and the buyer protection guarantee described on our buyer protection page.
7. Fees and payouts
We charge sellers a commission on each completed sale, plus payment processing fees passed through from our payment provider. Current commission rates are shown in the seller dashboard before listing. Payouts are released after the buyer protection window closes, less any refunds, chargebacks, or platform fees due.
8. Prohibited and restricted items
You may not list or buy: counterfeit goods, items that infringe third-party intellectual property, illegal drugs, weapons, items requiring export licences you do not hold, items prohibited by Turkish customs, or items prohibited in the buyer's destination country. We may remove listings and suspend accounts at our discretion.
9. Intellectual property
The Platform, its design, logos, and code are owned by us. Listing content (photos, descriptions) is owned by the seller; by listing you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to display and promote that content on the Platform and in marketing channels referring to it. You may not scrape, copy, or republish Platform content without our written permission.
10. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, if your activity puts other users at risk, or if required by law. You may close your account at any time from your account settings. Outstanding orders, refunds, and seller payouts are completed even after closure where possible.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ShopTurkiye is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform. Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim is limited to the greater of (a) the total amount you paid through the Platform in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) USD 100. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded — including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
12. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. Disputes that cannot be resolved through our standard support process will be referred to the courts of Istanbul, Türkiye, except where consumer-protection laws in your country of residence give you a non-waivable right to bring a claim locally.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above tracks the most recent version. Material changes will be notified by email to registered users at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
